In Toastmasters, you will learn the arts of speaking, listening, and thinking - vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, build confidence and self-esteem, and provide an opportunity for personal growth. Toastmaster clubs provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills.

If you think you aren't, you might be surprised!

As a member of Toastmasters International, you will be offered the opportunity to participate in a leadership program. Within the club, there are several positions you may serve in that teach leadership skills that you will carry with you to other aspects of your life, including career advancement. By serving as Sergeant at Arms, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President of Public Relations, Vice Presendent of Membership, Vice President of Education, or President, you will be given the opportunity to learn these skills, including training sessions hosted by Toastmasters International, and to practice those skills at every meeting. If you wish, you can go beyond the club, serving as Area Governor or Division Governor in your district, helping clubs to function effectively.There are many opportunities to advance your leadership abilities.
